SKEET SHOOTING
PRACTICE SHOOTING - Any time the KCTA is open, we offer practice shooting. If it's your first time skeet shooting, we will make sure you understand the safety rules and then will go with you to the skeet field to help you with the fundamentals of the sport AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. That's right a free lesson. Please don't take offense if we have to remind you about any of the safety rules, we just want to provide a safe target shooting environment for all of us.

NSSA REGISTERED TOURNAMENTS - With the recent completion of our second skeet field, our registered shoots will be bigger and better in the future. We host one registered skeet shoot per month, March through October. Winners take home shotgun shells, silver coins and commemoratives and "braggin rights". All of our 2000 registered shoots will be four gun shoots.
WINTER FUN SHOOTS - After the October registered shoot, winter fun shoots will be scheduled on several Saturdays until March. Although the shoots are not registered, NSSA rules will apply, trophies will be offered, and the "Lewis" shells will be available. Events will be shortened to 50 targets.
KCTA CLUB PROGRAM - An organizied individual shooting program offering annual and weekly awards, the KCTA Skeet Club Program has been in place many years. All 4 gauges are included in the program, with emphasis on the 12 or 20 gauge events. Weekly class winners win free rounds of targets, and annual winners win custom trophies.
